A Night of Enchantment, Flirtation, & Mystery

In the best traditions of Rio, Venice, New Orleans and Berlin (in the 1920s), we're having a festive Masquerade Party and Dance on Saturday night May 3rd . You are encouraged to put on a mask, disguise yourself, and expose your devilish side at this spectacular event. Masquerotica will bring you together with the secret fantasies of others in an evening of sensual delights.

The night is all about...

• Flirting surreptitiously in a ballroom with the most playful women and men in town.
• Dancing the last chill weather away to hot music.
• Melting into a sensual ambiance that will both disorient and delight.
• Enjoying, or maybe being shocked by, a myriad of Performance Artists.
• Engaging in interactive surprises to challenge the timid and excite the extrovert.

he Victoria Erotica Festival of Film & Arts is a traditional springtime celebration welcoming la dolce vita back into our lives. This Third Annual event kicks off a long season of cultural pleasures in the city. In the warm summer months that follow, Victoria becomes the hotbed capital for a full calendar of outstanding music and creative arts festivals.

This festival draws together many artists expressing the joy and playfulness of our erotic nature. We're again putting on a wickedly outrageous party on Saturday night -- Masquerotica. The four-day gala is a medley of fun events inviting people to rediscover the delights found in their sensuous nature.

• Erotic Films featuring surprising Victoria premieres and a new crop of innovative short movies by Canadian filmmakers.
• Sex-Positive Workshops offering thoughtful and experiential forums that explore personal and relationship issues.
• Cabaret Night is a showcase of comic decadence by Victoria’s underground best.
• An Erotic Art Exhibit showcasing current sensuous explorations in painting, photography, and sculpture by local and international artists.
• Naughty Bits is an erotic story or prose poem literary contest about a fetish fantasy, a do-me dream, some titillating anecdote, or whatever excites your imagination.
• Silent Auction benefiting programs of The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria.
• Masquerotica – The climax of the festival, a night of masked flirtation, dancing, performance art, and sensual intoxication, celebrating sensuous dance, artful body painting, a risqué fashion show, bawdy comedy, sexy poetry, ribald storytelling, interactive games, and much more
